This hoya is a hybrid between Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens. It is widely known as Hoya 'Chouke' (BE24), but it has not been formally published (or registered), so Hoya 'Chouke' is not a valid name. It has been described in Fraterna no. 1, 2003 (Vol. 16).

This hybrid is the sister seedling of Hoya carnosa x Hoya serpens (BE23). It reminds more of Hoya carnosa than BE23; the leaves have the same shape as Hoya carnosa (even though they are smaller) and it is trickier to get in bloom. It is a fast

grower and it  produces a lot of peduncles, but it took almost three years before it flowered for me the first time.

Even though it's tricky to get in bloom this is a hybrid that I recommend. The slightly pubescent foliage is lovely and the flowers are beautiful. I grow my plant in a shaded place in my garden room where nights are cooler.
