Hoya compacta 'Regalis'

C. M. Burton

Published in The Hoyan 12(2:2): 2 (1990) by C. M. Burton. Hoya compacta orginates from cultivation.

Hoya compacta 'Regalis' is a varigated form of Hoya compacta. This species is best grown hanging as it has no ability to climb and the curly leaves make it hard to twine the branches on a trellis. It's easy to grow, but beware of pests! There are a lot of good hiding places for them in the curly leaves. It thrives in normal room temperature. I grow it in a light position, but protect it from the burning sun. I recommend to keep the soil evenly moist.
