Hoya griffithii

J. D. Hooker

Published in Flora of British India 4:59 (1883) by J. D. Hooker. Hoya griffithii originates from the Himalayas (India & China).

I've had Hoya griffithii for a few years, but it was very slow in the start and I had to re-root it so it isn't a very big plant yet. Consequently I haven't had any flowers on my plant. The only picture from my plant is the one of the leaves. The others are from a friends plant. The flowers are lovelly though and I'm waiting for my plant to get in bloom.

As Hoya griffithii orginates from the Himalayas it's a cold growing species. So if you have a room where it's cooler it's preferable. I grow my plant in the garden room where especially night temperatures are cooler than

in my indoor rooms.

Hoya griffithii is a climber but it isn't the best twiner so it will need some help around if grown supported on a trellis.
