Hoya 'Minibelle' |
|

Hoya 'Minibelle' is most likely a cross between Hoya carnosa and Hoya shepherdii. The foliage reminds more of Hoya shepherdii than of Hoya carnosa. The hybridizer, Ed Hummel, named this cultivar for his wife, Minibelle Hummel. It is a climber and periodically it grows quite fast. Since both Hoya carnosa and Hoya shepherdii prefers cooler growing conditions I grow my Hoya 'Minibelle' in my garden room. It thrives there and flowers many times |

during the light seasons of the year. I really like these flowers because of the colour. The flowers are streaked pink and they are also very fragrant. This cultivar is quite easy to grow. It does not need much light and can dry almost completely between watering it. So, I really recommend this one to the beginner. |
