Hoya myrmecopa (IML1375)

D. Kleijn & R. van Donkelaar

Published in Blumea 46(3) 477 (2001) by D. Kleijn and R. van Donkelaar. Hoya myrmecopa originates from Sulawesi, Indonesia. The name refers to the niches in the tree branches where this species were commonly found growing.

Hoya myrmecopa is an easy hoya to grow. I have my plant hanging in a window facing north and it grows quite fast there. It took a few years before it flowered the first time so I guess it prefers some more light. It tolerates drought.
