I bought my Hoya nabawanensis IML1780 from David Liddle in September 2006. It flowered for the first time in june 2007. It is a nice hoya, somewhat resembling Hoya lacunosa, but the flowers are more flat. The cluster is concave, unlike Hoya lacunosa, and the corolla is pink at the centre. I have not felt any scent from the flowers, but that does not necessarily mean that there is no scent. Maybe I have just put my nose in the cluster at the wrong time? This hoya is best suited for the hanging basket as it has no climbing abilities. The leaves are glabrous and dark green. few silver flecks. I have my plant in a window facing north and it flowers there. It also tolerates drought.
