Hoya neo-caledonica

F. R. R. Schlechter

Published in Botanische Jahrbücher für Systematik Pflanzengeschichte und Pflanzengeographie 39 245 (1906) by F. R. R. Schlechter. Hoya neo-caledonica originates from New Caledonia.

Hoya neo-caledonica reminds very much of Hoya neo-ebudica. They haven't flowered at the same time for me yet, so it's hard to make any good comparison, side by side. But so far I can't see any differences.

Hoya neo-caledonica is an easy hoya to grow. It thrives in room temperature and tolerates drought, but it grows best if it gets water regularly. It grows quite fast and since it's a climber it's best grown supported by a trellis.
