Hoya obovata

J. Decaisne

Published in Prodromus Systematis Naturalis Regni Vegetabilis 8  635 (1844) by J. Decaisne. Hoya obovata originates from Indonesia (Maluku Islands).

I haven't managed to get my Hoya obovata in bloom yet. I thought it would be easier, but so far it hasn't shown me more than a few small peduncles. The pictures I took in The Göteborg Botanical Garden will have to do here until my plant changes its mind.

Hoya obovata does not grow very fast. It likes some cooler temperatures so I grow mine in the garden room.
