Hoya 'Rainforest' is a hybrid between Hoya macgillivrayi and Hoya archboldiana. It was hybridized by Michael Miyashiro.

I bought a cutting of this one in April 2006 and exactly 2 years after it flowered for the first time. The flowers are campanulate and quite big. If flattened out they measure 8 cm. I grow my plant in a window facing south and I give it plenty of water and fertilize it regularly. When the buds started developing I watered it every day. The flowers spread a nice scent in the evenings. It reminds of gardenia.

Hoya 'Rainforest' is a climber which in time grows to a very big plant. It's probably best grown supported on a trellis. The dark green leaves are glabrous, thick and hard. They tolerate full sun without getting burned.
