Hoya 'Sunrise' is a cross between Hoya lacunosa and Hoya obscura. It differs some from my other cross between those two species. The leaves are not so glabrous on this one and the veins are more visible. This one also has the odd habit of producing several levels on the peduncles (see the picture below). I have up to three levels on my plant. I haven't seen this phenomenon on  my other Hoya lacunosa x Hoya obscura.

Both these two cultivars are well worth growing. They are easy to grow and they flower readily. The scent of the

flowers is outstanding; a nice mix between Hoya lacunosa and Hoya obscura. The flowers are usually white but if exposed to bright light they get a pink tint.
